The full form of DAC is “Digital-to-Analog Converter” and is often called “dac.” Since computers can only understand digital information, the output generated from e-computers is typically in digital format.

But some output devices accept only analog input, which means that a digital-to-analog converter, or DAC, must be used.

The most common use is that of a DAC that can be used to convert digital audio into analog signal. This conversion takes place in a sound card, in which a built-in DAC is available.

The digital signal, which is actually a stream of ones and zeros, is converted into an analog signal that will later take the shape of an electrical charge. This electrical charge is recognized mostly by speaker inputs and is subsequently sent to the output to the speaker system.

DACs are also used to convert video signals. If we talk about old times then we will find that most video displays, such as TVs and computer monitors, use analog inputs.

Just a few years ago, digital displays are also being used more with DVI and HDMI connections.

So to output a computer , one has to convert the digital video signal into an analog display, into an analog signal.

This is why all video cards that have an analog output (such as a VGA connection) must also have a DAC.

Anytime if a signal is converted from one format to another, then there is a lot of quality loss in it. So it is important that you have a high-quality DAC Mejhud, even if you are not converting audio or video signals.

The same thing happens when you are doing exactly the opposite conversion, which requires an analog-to-digital converter, or ADC.
